No philosophical movie comments from me but here are lists of my top ten films in two other categories:

    1. Movies you’re most unlikely to see inflight unless the airline is run by warped people:

    United 93
    Final Destination
    Cast Away
    Air Force One
    The High and the Mighty
The Night My Number Came Up
    Back From Eternity
Airplane! (though this depends on your – or the airline’s – sense of humour)

    2. Movies not to see with a hangover:

    The Lost Weekend
    Leaving Las Vegas
    Under the Volcano
    Days of Wine and Roses
The Sun Also Rises (esp. E. Flynn)
    Come Fill the Cup
    Bottom of the Bottle
    Long Day’s Journey into Night
    Stagecoach (esp. the Doc)

    (Plus… anything starring W.C. Fields.)

Actually, I think “Harvey” also deserves a place in the Philosophical Movies list.
